APPEAL AFTER NEW YEARS DAY ATTACK ON MAN IN GODALMING

Police are appealing for witneses after a man was found with head injuries on Charterhouse Road, in Godalming close to the Charterhouse Arms Public House in the early hours of New Years Day.

Witnesses sought after attack on man in Godalming
The man, in his 20s, was taken to the Royal Surrey County Hospital in Guildford for medical treatment and has since been discharged.
Detective Constable James Hilton, of Guildford CID, said: "I am appealing for anyone who was out in this part of Godalming on New Years Eve who may have witnessed the incident or who has any information about it to get in touch with us.
"You can do this by calling Surrey Police on 101 and quoting reference WV/12/9 or calling Crimestoppers, anonymously on 0800 555 111."
