Are you satisfied with the quality of broadband service in the Godalming area?

If you would like to se it improved, then local officials throughout the Godalming region would like to hear from residents and busineses alike on how services could be improved.

The call comes after councillors from Waverley have given Surrey County Council their full backing in its bid to ensure a 100% high-quality broadband service across the county by 2013.

This follows a rally held in Haslemere supported by Waverley Borough Council to launch Surrey's Superfast broadband project. Local MP and Secretary of State for Culture, Media and Sport , Jeremy Hunt, the Leader of Waverley Borough Council, Councillor Robert Knowles and leader of Surrey County Council, Dr Andrew Povey addressed an audience of councillors, local businesses and other local community groups, and urged residents and businesses to support the drive to improve the delivery of Superfast broadband across Surrey - particularly in those black spots which currently receive a poor, or no, broadband service.

Now you can support the drive to improve the delivery of Superfast broadband across Surrey.

Register your interest online at www.superfastsurrey.org.uk.

You can also email superfastbbsurrey@surreycc.gov.uk.

The more people that register their interest in superfast broadband, the greater chance Surrey has of delivering the 100% target.

The Government has set out the ambition to have the best broadband network in Europe.

Surrey has an ambitious target of providing total county-wide access to high-quality broadband for all in just two years.

Many people living in the more rural areas in do not have access to reliable high-speed broadband. Now council officials want to ensure our residents and businesses have the same advantages as those who already use superfast internet connections.

Local residents have been campaigning for some time for broadband in their particular villages and communities. All our residents and businesses need to make their voices heard by telling Surrey what type of internet service they can currently access and what type of service they want.
