Godalming Town Opens It's Doors For Staycation

Budding soccer stars of tomorrow from the Godalming area will be put through their paces and be given a glimpse behind the scenes at a special 'Open Day' being organised by Godalming Town Football Club as part of this year's Mayor's 'Staycation' campaign.

The Open Day will be held between 9 am and 12.30pm on Thursday Auguest 11.

There will be spaces for 120 youngsters aged 14 and under.

The event will be split into sessions to cover:

Meet the Managers – including a team talk and Q&A session

Tour of the Ground

Penalty Shoot Out

Basic Skills Session

Presentation of a Certificate

Surrey Police will be represented, led by PC Nick Ring and some of his team. Absolute Soccer will have a unique inflatable penalty speed shooting area which records the speed of your kick. The Mayor of Godalming will to present the certificates.

The event is open to all local children, of all abilities, with the emphasis on the youngsters having an enjoyable morning at Godalming Town.

To reserve a place please email staycation@godalmingtownfc.co.uk. You will receive a registration form to print off and complete approximately 7 days prior to the event. GTFC will also send a complete timetable
