HONOUR GODALMING'S VOLUNTEERS

Do you know a volunteer who has made an outstanding contribution to the community of Godalming?

If so, nominations are now being sought for the Town Mayor's Award for Volunteers 2012.
This award recognises local people carrying out voluntary service in Godalming/Farncombe for the benefit of the community and the town.
It will be the eighth year this award has been issued and the current Town Mayor, Councillor Steve Cosser, wwants to receive nominations for this year's award.
Councillor Cosser explains: "Volunteers make an invaluable contribution to the life of our community. The Mayor's award recognises those who give so much for the benefit of others and says "thank you" from us all. Please let us know of someone special; someone who is always prepared to go that extra mile. "
Successful recipients of the award will be presented with a framed certificate and a small token of gratitude. These will be presented at the Annual Town Meeting on Thursday, 19 April 2012 in the Council Chamber.
Anyone wishing to make a nomination should forward the name and address of the nominee together with the reason for the nomination, in writing, to the Town Clerk, Godalming Town Council, Municipal Buildings, Bridge Street, Godalming, Surrey, GU7 1HR. Nominations to be received by Friday, 30 March.
