The Phoenix Pro Fitness in Godalming is offering a special 30 day trial for just £69.
This is your opportunity to experience everything club which boasts the attentions of Charlotte Ord, named Personal Trainer of the Year 2010 at the International Fitness Showcase Awards, and is a trainer on ITV1's hit show, The Biggest Loser. Charlotte is also head strength and conditioning coach for the England lacrosse team, and has featured in a number of leading health and fitness publications including Men's Health, Women's Health and Women's Fitness.

Godalming's Fitness First gym in the High Street, is offering off peak sessions for £14.95....where personal fitness trainer Jo Spacey comes highly recommended.
A new fitness class has launched at Milford Village Hall called 20/20/20, which includes 20 minutes of cardio vascular work, 20 minutes of core exercises and 20 minutes of stretch and tone. Classes run on Thursdays from 7-8.00pm. Contact Petra on 07967 113389 or silverstarped@hotmail.com.

If you simply want to lose weight then how about trying Waverley Council's Weight management scheme? This a 12 week programme designed to help you to lose weight by changing your lifestyle The scheme is based on the latest research, which shows that the best way to lose weight is by eating a healthy diet and being more physically active.You attend a group session once a week, for 12 weeks.
Each session will provide information and support on weight issues including healthy eating, physical activity and keeping motivated. Part of the weekly session will include some physical activity and a fitness instructor will be able to offer additional support in helping you to become more physically active. Your group leader will work with you to set realistic targets and focus on modest and achievable weight loss for health. Don't worry if you haven't ever exercised or done any exercise for a while; the programme can be adapted to suit your needs.

For those who would rather take a more leisurely approach to getting fit then how about trying The Waverley Walks for Health scheme which is part of Walking for Health (a national initiative led by Natural England. Regular organised walks are provided from four locations within Waverley. All are led by volunteers, who have attended a Walks for Health training day, with back markers making sure that everyone completes the walk at a pace they find suitable.
Best of all, the walks are FREE.
The weekly health walks give you the opportunity to take regular exercise, enjoy your local environment and meet new people.
They are designed to improve your health, with walks offering a safe and secure environment in which to walk with friendly and welcoming company. All you need to do is turn up in comfortable shoes and enjoy the walk!
Most walks are 40-60 mins and are approximately 2 miles long. Walks routes vary every week, but all are risk assessed first. Some locations offer a longer walk once every month. They are are designed to take account of the pace of the slowest person, but the aim is for brisk walking to increase your heart rate and make you breathe a little faster than normal.
Godalming walks take place every Thursday at 11am. Meet opposite the entrance to the Council Offices car park beside the river (opposite The Burys Field). A longer walk replaces the short walk on the first Thursday of each month; this includes a pub lunch (for which you will need to take your own money). Contact 01483 417282 .
The Charterhouse Club also has a special offer at present, to encoursage new members to the excellent fitness club. This sees the club offering a special jacket worth over £60 when you join, for a joining fee of £75.
