Charterhouse Club will be hosting’s Godalming's very first Sport Relief Mile on Sunday 25th March in aid of Comic Relief.
People will have the chance to take part in a 1, 3 or 6 mile race in and around the grounds of Charterhouse and the course will be suitable for anyone to run, walk, jog or crawl their way around. ReportThis sounds great!
But Godalming enthusiasts can also get their running shoes on for another 'first'.... the first Sainsbury's Sport Relief Mile to be held in Waverley.
The fundraising event will take place on Sunday March 25 around Frensham Common and anyone keen to take part needs to sign up at http://tinyurl.com/qffv3
The event at Frensham is being organised by Waverley Borough Council.
Cllr Julia Potts, councillor responsible for leisure at Waverley Borough Council, said: "Entrants into the Sainsbury's Sport Relief mile in Waverley don't have to be sporty to take part, but can choose to walk, jog or run and complete one, three or six miles around the stunning area of Frensham Common.
" By taking part, participants know that all the money raised will help to change the lives of people living tough lives across the UK and in some the world's poorest countries.
"It's important to sign up soon via the Sport Relief website as there are limited places. The site is also filled with information to help people fundraise as they get set for the event."
