    HUNDREDS of runners gathered to take part in the Godalming Run at the weekend. Crowds lined the streets to cheer on the 640 competitors as musicians played in the bandstand on Sunday May 19.     A GODALMING man has been arrested on suspicion of tax evasion totalling £300,000 together with associated money laundering offences. HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC) criminal investigators arrested the 60-year-old man on Wednesday (May 15) at a residential property in Godalming.     GODALMING'S youngest ever town mayor has been elected for the civic year. Councillor Tom Martin was unanimously elected by Godalming Town Council on May 9, replacing Cllr Liz Wheatley.
